During the two days, you will discover Tram Chim national park - a large sanctuary for birds, was recognised as the fourth Ramsar site in Viet Nam and the 2,000th in the world in the responsible travel way and cooking local meal in Authentic homestay. Besides, you will spend time in visiting traditional handicraft workshop of making products from fruits as well as listen to Don Ca Tai Tu - the intangible cultural heritage site of Vietnam. The tour is more fascinated when you meet and talk to local people to understand more about their culture values and their Mekong lifestyle and history. Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Tram Chim Rustic homestay (L/D)
Our guide will pick you up at the center of Tram Chim town, Tam Nông, Dong Thap province, you will stopover to enjoy traditional coffee shop en route. When you arrive Tram Chim town, you check in your homestay or hotel before lunch beside Tram Chim National park.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a solar energy boat to visit Tram Chim national park – one of four Ramsars in Vietnam (an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands) where you will be introduced range of animals, birds and plants in the Southern Vietnam and few birds of 200 types of birds housing here which make up ¼ the bird population in Vietnam. Some of these birds have been put in the Red Book for a long time. The most typical and most well-known one is the Red-crown Crane, one of the last 15 crane pieces in the world. Normally, a crane has a height of more than 1.7 m, gray feathers, long neck, red head and wide wings.
Next, you continue to discover Tram Chim on a boat rowing where you can experience the eco-system inside national park and then walking thru the trails where you can find some animals, plants and birds which they are feeding and relaxing on the trees
After visiting the Tram Chim national park, you will visit local people’s house and talking to him to understand how local people make the handicraft products and have special local gifts from them if we have time.
Then, you will be back to local homestay to take part in local activity of fishing on the lotus field which will bring you a rustic and great experience especially when catching fish on river for dinner. You will be guided to prepare dinner by our Chefs in the late afternoon. Having dinner and staying overnight at Tram Chim Rustic homestay.
You have dinner with host and enjoy local folk songs in Mekong Delta.
Day 2: Tram Chim Rustic homestay - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
After breakfast, our guide will guide you to explore more lotus field by bike or electric car. You will visit and enjoy lotus milk and take a pictures with lotus flowers. The 2nd day tour continues with a visit to local house to learn how to make local cake and communicate with them to learn how to make the special cake and learn the history of Tram Chim national park. After cycling back to Tram Chim Rustic, taking short rest and check-out at about 11:30. Then you will be transferred back to Ho Chi Minh City.
End of the tour at 16:00 in Ho Chi Minh City.
