Hermitage Paul Jaboulet Aine Vintage 1970 VINTAGE WINES 1981Not to be mistaken with La Chapelle, but none the less produced by the famous domaine from vines on the Hermitage hill. 1970 was a very good year for the northern Rhone with great ageing potential. Typical blend, Syrah. 75cl bottle. Abv not stated. Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level at neck label.

1984 was not declared as a vintage so much of the wine produced was used for blends with a few single quinta wines and late bottle vintage ports

but Latour has a reputation of performing well in the lesser vintages

2011 was a difficult vintage for the Rhone

Sadly 1974 was not a great vintage
