Artist's studio, early morning 66 x 56cm, oil on canvas, framed Landscape ArtThis is one of two paintings I did of the inside of my studio which I'd prepared a vase of Plane tree cuttings to make studies of. After the studies, I decided to expand the view and paint the studio behind in all its messy chaos!

I took some cuttings before the autumn took hold and arranged them as best I could on my old battered orange work chest

It was a study for a larger work of the same name and finalist in the 2025 Calleen Art Award at the Cowra Regional Art Gallery in NSW

The film The Killing Fields came out in 1984 when I was studying plant biology at Uni
