Broad-tailed Hummingbird hatchlings, Sangre de Cristo Mtns, CO Available in L, M, S:Small 576x720 @72dpiThese baby Broad tailed Hummingbirds were just outside our cabin during a summer vacation in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Colorado.

The light has to strike the irridescent gorget feathers just so or else they look black

but they are still very beautiful if the light is right

We found a pair of Green Jays building a nest in a cemetery near Rio Hondo

It takes 3-4 minutes for her crop to empty
